CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio) is a leading provider of single-chip radio devices for Bluetooth® wireless communication. As a CSR Partner, Smart Sensor Systems, Inc. provides a Bluetooth® capable smart sensor. CSR offers developed hardware/software solutions based around BlueCore™, a fully integrated 2.4 GHz radio, baseband and microcontroller. BlueCore™ features in over 60 per cent of all qualified Bluetooth v1.1 and v1.2 enabled products and modules listed on the Bluetooth® website with international names such as Nokia, Dell, Panasonic, Sharp, Motorola, IBM, Apple, NEC, Toshiba and Sony already using BlueCore™ devices in their range of Bluetooth® products. In June 2003, CSR launched its third generation BlueCore™ devices with full support for the v1.2 Bluetooth® specification. In June 2004, CSR launched its fourth generation BlueCore™ devices to support the recently released Enhanced Data Rate standard.
